I’m not sure it’s the best ad I’ve ever seen, but it’s good. Check out the linked interview with Leonard Nimoy – he’s an extremely generous interviewee. He seems to go out of his way to credit, for example, the writers (“schmucks with Underwoods”, as Jack Warner once famously said, and other actors. Must have been a great guy to work with.
Which leads to another theory of mine: Hollywood and filmdom is missing the boat in not using the talents of great older actors. They should go out of their way to find them work. Maybe the indie filmmakers should take note. They probably work much more cheaply than they did at their height.
