If you ever want to get (yourself or someone else) pumped on science, I highly recommend the stylings of Neil deGrasse Tyson. He is the director of the Hayden Planetarium in New York. He has a sharp memory for detail and great communication skills – a fabulous combination for an Astrophysicist working on the front lines of public education.

In this great interview with Stephen Colbert (about 80 minutes long) he covers a beautiful cross-section of topics and leaves me stoked about my next visit to the Vancouver planetarium. The video is about two and a half years old but still totally relevant.

Dr. Tyson made some serious rounds of the CBC daily radio shows on wednesday. Pretty sharp guy!

Very cool. Imagine if all scientists, politicians, philosophers, teachers, etc could communicate that effectively!
