I have now departed on a journey to the US of A. I will return in two weeks. Before departing I phoned my mobile service provider to arrange a US roaming package. During the “identify the caller” stage of our conversation I was asked for my post code. It turns out the one they have on file is out of date by several moves as I have been using electronic billing for several years. I asked what they use the address for. The answer: promotional material. I asked to have my account flagged to not receive such things. Apparently this is not possible.
EFFF THAT.
I asked if I could please update my mailing address. After a quick google search I gave them 100 Westmorland Street, Moncton, New Brunswick. It is the mailing address of their corporate headquarters.
Problem. Solved.

That is so brilliant! I’m going to have a lot of fun with that.
